Completion of Short-Term Training Course on Conservation Agriculture for Improving Water Productivity and Post-harvest Quality of Field Crops under Abiotic Stress Conditions
ICAR-National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management, Baramati has successfully completed the 21-day short-term training course on: “Conservation Agriculture for Improving Water Productivity and Post-harvest Quality of Field Crops under Abiotic Stress Conditions held from 12 September -03 October 2022. Total of 25 students from different institutions namely MPKV Rahuri, BSKKV Dapoli, VNMKV Parbhani, PDKV Akola, and IARI New Delhi from across all disciplines including agriculture engineering were participated. The objective of the program was trained the participants in the sphere of “Conservation Agriculture” for improving water productivity and post-harvest quality of field crops viz., sugarcane, cereals, oilseeds and orchards. Dr Jagdish Rane, Chief Guest and Director , ICAR-NIASM, Dr NP Kurade, HoS (SASM), Dr DD Nangare, HoS (SSPS), and Dr SA Kochewad were present for awarding the certificates. The Course Director (Dr GC Wakchaure), Course Co-Directors (Dr Aliza Pradhan and Dr. Paritosh Kumar), and the entire Conservation Agriculture team were acknowledged by the trainees for their significant guidance and assistance during the course.
